*Mariah and Boyz II Men hold the record for most
consecutive weeks at the Billboard #1 spot for a single
with 16 weeks "One Sweet Day"

*Mariah was the first artist in Billboard history to
have her first 5 singles reach #1.

*17 of Mariah's US singles have gone to #1 on the
Billboard chart. This ties her with Elvis for having more  number
one singles than any other solo artist in History, and behind only the Beatles who have 20.

* She is the only artist to have two Billboard #1 debuts, with successive singles. "Fantasy", and
"One Sweet Day"

* She is the only artist to have three Billboard #1 debuts. ("Fantasy", "One Sweet Day", "Honey")

* She holds the record for the only artist to have a number one for every year in the 90's

* She has a total of 77 weeks at #1 on the singles chart, which is second best ever after Elvis Pressley with 80.

* From the release of Fantasy in 1995, Mariah spent 26 of the following 30 weeks at #1, and 28

* EMI's Virgin Records lands the largest
buyout in music history... Virgin terminated Mariah's 100 million
dollar contract (which also holds the record for biggest record deal) with a nice 28 million
